Description

In Greek stories, and later Roman, the Minotaur depicted in this modern mythology drawing was a creature that was part bull, part man. Its name derives from the bull-god, Minos. Minos was a major deity of the Minoan civilization of Crete, as well as a king who demanded sacrifices of Athenian youths to feed it.
