David Allen Edwards, born in Denver Colorado, landed on earth November 17, 1960.

From Dave…

“My first memories of drawing came at a very young age and have been my passion ever since. From the beginning I guess my style was about texture, color, and history. I love playing with angles of light and shapes. Small and very large pictures have been my norm.

Always experimenting with different materials: dried flowers and house plants, most of my pictures are organic in matter. Experimentation is the apex – staying steady to changing styles but also taking different roads, opening new doors, never staying grounded and always moving forward. Self-taught through books and studying many artists and styles, I guess what makes me love being an artist is that every day you can’t wait to create.

While looking through my art work, one will notice the storyline of my life which is depicted in every picture. As far as going to a higher education, or art academy, my circumstances were very poor, having to take care of myself at a very young age. However, I was lucky to have great art teachers in high school. Traveling many times to Taos and Santa Fe were eye opening experiences as well and meeting many artists during the 80’s, 90’s and 2019.”
