The Red Cloud painting came to Edwards in a dream and his face tells his history. Red Cloud Lakota (Maȟpíya Lúta) was born in 1822 in North Platte, Nebraska and died on December 10, 1909 at the age of 86. He was one of the most important leaders of the Oglala Lakota from 1868 to 1909.
